Graceful and powerful at once; this beautifully conceived figurative pounder is a superb example. The sweeps of the curved body exhibit the technical skill and artistic vision of the carver. From all angles this piece has great presence. The patina is fine and varied; an encrusted surface covers the figure while there is a deeply patinated finish on the base. This is a stone carved piece; in excellent condition.

This pounder is 18 inches tall.
