This is a fine example of Toba Batak art. The body is beautifully conceived with a crescent shaped back; surmounted by a sensitively carved face. The headdress is made from animal hide which at some point had hair covering it. The sculpture is adorned with silver bracelets that are original to the piece. The patina is deep from handling and use. In excellent condition.

This finial stands 6.5 inches in height.
