Shrine Figure

This rare shrine figure in the form of a dog holding a baby dog in its mouth is amongst the best of this style. The surface patina is composed of accumulated layers of sacrificial materials. Around the neck of the dog is a twisted iron necklace. There is a very old break to the dog’s tail; otherwise it is in excellent condition.

The length of the figure is 8 inches. The height on its custom stand is 5 inches.
